The Year Is Going By So Fast…

by Wiji Lacsamana July 09, 2014

…but I’m not complaining one bit, it’s all been great fun. A number of the books I illustrated for are being released this year: a storybook called “Si Puyinggot at si Puyonggit”, two short story compilations called “How To Traverse Terra Incognita” and “Alternative Alamat”.

I’ve also been tattooing a lot lately, meeting interesting people with just as interesting stories. I just realized how tattooing seems to be a lot like bartending — you listen to whatever it is they are celebrating, or trying to forget, and at times, give crucial advice.

The vacations I’ve had the past few months have also spawned more designs for my scarf project, Radioactive Mushrooms in the Forest. You can check out more designs at cargocollective.com/RadioactiveMushroomsintheForest!

I have a number of really exciting projects coming up, too, which I can’t exactly talk about yet and it’s making things more exciting! Wish me luck!

Sending you good vibes from sunny Philippines, Wiji.

I started off the trail running season on a really positive note and was ready, and very excited, to get my first ultra-race of the year ticked off nice and early in April. But, … Continue reading
