How long have you been boxing?

I’ve been boxing for 10 years now. I started when I was in high school.

How did you get involved?

I saw Manny Pacquiao fighting Juan Manuel Marquez back in 2005, I think. The fight was epic and got me hooked instantly.

What’s your proudest achievement so far?

Proudest achievement so far is that I’m the first downhill skateboarding champion in the Philippines. Also have a 1-0 record in amateur boxing and soon to be 2-0 come September.

What motivates you?

Ferraris, Bugattis, a flashy house, winning and family

Who’s your hero?

Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

What are your hopes for the future?

I hope that we locals of Mother Earth go back to basics and take care of our environment. I hope there is also more food for everyone in the world because eating is the best thing in the world. I also hope to be part of The Money Team in the near future.

Any tips for aspiring boxers?

Do it for yourself. Self preservation, that’s what boxing provides me. Eat a lot of food and sweat a lot in the gym. That’s the key to success.

How would you spend £1 million?

First I’ll buy myself a nice red Ferrari paid in cash. Get myself a flashy bachelor pad with a big jacuzzi, like the one Tony Montana has in his house in ‘Scarface’. Sign up for a fight and win it. Throw a grand BBQ outside my house and put all the different beers in the world in one kiddie swimming pool. I will also build a gym with a skate ramp for all the street kids so they can have a better future. Travel the world and eat my way around the globe.

It’s funny how we are told that people are naturally resistant to change, whereas the most natural thing in the world IS change. These past few months have all been about change for me and although in my brain I know it, my heart doesn’t seem to be ready. Until now, where I have taken a break and have been … Continue reading

As ever, I’m not sure where the past while has gone – summer definitely seems to have disappeared in the blink of an eye! I started off the trail running season on a really positive note and was ready, and very excited, to get my first ultra-race of the year ticked off nice and early in April. But, … Continue reading
