Autumn Recording And Summer Gigs!

by Laura Lost September 08, 2014

I have just finished writing my new album now. The songs have taken me nearly a year to complete and I am really happy with them now after several adjustments. I am heading into the studio with the awesome songwriter and producer Pete Bruntnell ( www.PeterBruntnell.net) early September to get some tracks down and then I will be heading to the states to record with Chris Henderson of Three Doors Down.

Songwriting for me is very challenging, as I am inspired by many amazing artists, so to put out my own music is pretty nerve wracking. But it is exciting too!!

I played one of the most fun gigs of the summer a few weeks ago in Newquay. The gig was called Surf Bettys, a girl’s surf festival run by UK pro surfer Corinne Evans ( www.CorinneEvans.com) in aid of the awesome charity, Keep a Breast UK. The gig was on a beautiful summer day at Great Western Beach in Newquay and was sponsored by Animal. It was a really fun day of girls surfing and music and I had an awesome gig!

This Autumn I will also be working on a music video for my Single ‘Sparkles’. The song has a real winter feel to it as I wrote it in a pretty wild storm.

I am working with a very talented photographer and filmmaker here in North Devon called Nat Perkins. So we are going to be working on making a really cool video for the track. Check out her work here http://messydots.tumblr.com

by Elaine Abonal September 12, 2016

It’s funny how we are told that people are naturally resistant to change, whereas the most natural thing in the world IS change. These past few months have all been about change for me and although in my brain I know it, my heart doesn’t seem to be ready. Until now, where I have taken a break and have been … Continue reading

From Trail Running to Paddle Boarding

by Sarah Morton August 22, 2016

As ever, I’m not sure where the past while has gone – summer definitely seems to have disappeared in the blink of an eye! I started off the trail running season on a really positive note and was ready, and very excited, to get my first ultra-race of the year ticked off nice and early in April. But, … Continue reading
